Ancestral Healing with Paikea Cheng Liu

(please note - registration is required for this workshop)

DATE: Sunday, October 22, 2023

TIME: 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm (option to stay after for a Potluck and the Play Ashram Fire Puja)

LOCATION: Clear Creek Schoolhouse, 1882 Hammonds Fork Road, Disputanta, KY 40456

WORKSHOP FEE: Gift Economy/Sliding Scale of $30-$60 is suggested*

You are a living alter - holding the genetic memory of your ancestors and, often times, carrying their traumas and continuing to live their stories.

Ancestral healing is a potent medicine, that modern people rarely tap into. This workshop will give you practical tools and simple practices, to repair the line and claim the gifts and blessings of your family.

  • Make more sense of your own struggles and unmet needs.  Childhood traumas and the individual hardships on our life path usually started way before us or even our parents were born.   Find the ancestral root of your suffering.

  • Paikea will share valuable psycho-spiritual concepts and tools such as:

    • Attachment Wounds

    • c-PTSD

    • 5 Languages of Love and how to apply them to build relationships with your well ancestors and with yourself.

  • You'll be empowered by the sheer number of your ancestors, and the scientific evidence of inter-generational trauma.

  • Connect consciously and safely.  Everyone has loving and wise ancestors. Everyone also has unwell ancestors who aren't at peace (think of the last 500 years of human history!) Learn strategies for connecting with the well ancestors and protecting yourself from the unresolved energies of your unwell relations.

You are very loved, wanted and equipped by your "people" - you are never alone, and you have a purpose in the world.  Join us to explore, discover and reunite.

About Paikea:

Paikea is an acupuncturist and wild foods educator. She is on a mission to reconnect herself and others to The Wild!  Paikea believes for any modern person, true healing requires two things: 1) Restoring an intimate relationship with the natural world. 2) Repairing the "inner wilderness", meaning to acknowledge the personal, societal, and ancestral trauma that we all carry.
Paikea carries out this mission by teaching workshops on various topics such as Edible Wild Plants, Thai Yoga Massage, Ancestral Healing, and through organizing Rewilding events. She practices acupuncture with integrative tools.  It brings her joy to cross pollinate healing communities with rewilding communities - as both have helped her heal her own ailments (Lyme, candida, mold toxin and heavy metal, depression, complex PTSD), and both deepen her capacity to love and heal others. She recently moved to Washington from the east coast, and is looking forward to the wild and beautiful journey.

SPACE IS LIMITED AND REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED.

*Gift Economy/Sliding Scale of $30-$60 is suggested and appreciated and ensures we may continue to offer valuable, community building workshops and events led by gifted and experienced facilitators. Paikea normally offers this workshop (at other public venues) at a fee of $85. Our goal is to make these skill building opportunities accessible to all in our communities. PLEASE CONSIDER THE VALUE FOR YOU AND CONTRIBUTE AS YOUR HEART INFORMS AND YOUR BUDGET ALLOWS. If, even at sliding scale, the cost of the workshop would make it inaccessible for you, please contribute as you are able! You may enter any amount you wish through the donation page. Everyone in our community is encouraged to attend regardless of ability to contribute money.

This workshop is offered as part of the Play Ashram and Clear Creek Schoolhouse Community Compass Series. These periodic (about once per month) discussions and workshops offer time and space for us to share and practice useful skills for navigating one's own life and for collectively orienting towards a more balanced, sustainable, heart centered community. Past and upcoming discussion and workshop topics include:

  • Compassionate Communication

  • Consent

  • Courageous Self Inquiry (Shadow Work)

  • Connecting with the Natural World

  • Practical Skills such as Wild Crafting and more
